Anemones such as the bubble-tip anemone Entacmaea quadricolor are popular hosts for anemonefish and a lively centrepiece in the reef aquarium. They wander until they find a spot with suitable light and flow, then attach themselves with their foot. For this reason, make sure pumps and overflows are secured. A mature tank with stable parameters is essential. Occasional feeding with small pieces of meaty food promotes health and colour – especially when kept together with clownfish.
