- Wasser: stabile Werte, KH 7–9 dKH, Calcium 400–450 mg/l, Magnesium 1.300–1.400 mg/l

Fungia, also known as plate or mushroom coral, is a solitary coral that lives as a free-lying disc on the sand bed. With its fine tentacles and striking pattern of ridges, it looks like a living work of art. Remarkably, Fungia can move slowly and even turn itself upright again if needed. In the aquarium it should therefore be placed on an open area of sand rather than on rocks. Regular feeding with small morsels keeps it healthy and colourful.
