Lobophyllia and Symphyllia are large-polyp brain corals. Their fleshy tissue forms valleys and ridges that glow in strong colour combinations ranging from green through red to orange. The colonies grow slowly but can reach impressive sizes over the years. They forgive minor fluctuations and are therefore also suitable for reef keepers with little LPS experience. Regular feeding in the evening and a calm spot close to the bottom ensure that the tissue fully expands.
